Notice Writing CBSE Class 8 Format, Topics, Exercises

For Students of Class 8 in CBSE affiliated schools, Notice writing is very tricky part of English paper and students need to have lots of practice to get the knack of how to write these notices with correct format and perfection in less time and score high marks.

NOTICE WRITING IMPORTANT POINTS

  • A notice must be enclosed in a box.
  • Word limit should not exceed 50 words.
  • Only relevant information should be included.
  • Do not add any irrelevant : information.A notice should be written on a fresh page. Nothing else should be written on the page on which the notice is written.
  • Personal pronouns like I, me, You and we should not be used.
  • A notice is written in the third person.Passive form of voice is used to write the body of the notice.
  • A notice should be brief, clear and precise in instructions. It should be written in an easy to understand language .
  • A notice should include the following information
    • Recipient of the notice ( For whom notice is being written)
    • The reason for the notice
    • Details of the event like date, location, time
    • Contact details for more information
